My work
Watercolor
This piece I created a portrait of my mentor Jill McDonald who was and has been a huge inspiration to me. I wanted to portray her in the whimsical and colorful way that I see her.
Digital drawing
I designed this postcard as a part of my promotional materials. I love the outdoors and I love drawing on site so I can captivate my experiences and adventures as I see them.
I like to experiment with hand-lettering. So here you see hand-lettering done with actual sugar. I like to illustrate a great number of things but I illustrate a lot of food based things as well.
Digital drawing
This is from my cookbook project. I created an illustrated cookbook that included 15 recipes all done in different mediums so I could show all the ways that I can and like to work in. This is done with magazine cutouts all composed digitally.
This is a graphite sketch from my sketchbook of Juli Child. While I like to draw more loosely and expressive, I also enjoy drawing more realistically and true to what I see.

This was a project I based off of the word that everyone hates the moist, I mean most. It is completely sculpted by hand and then painted and coated with acrylic gloss.

This is a promotional poster design for an art show that I was a part of. The show was in the Crossroads district in Kansas City, Missouri during the First Fridays event. It is a line drawing and water color painting of a building on the KCAI campus.
A self portrait of myself using found objects. A lot of the objects within the self-portrait describe me as a person and what some of my passions are.
This is a pen and ink sketch of Bob Dylan from my sketchbook. I like to draw very loosely because you end up getting way more fun, interesting, and unpredictable results that way.
I created this lightbulb installation as a inspiration of the patterns I had been creating at the time. Each lightbulb is painted with a fun pattern and then I had someone photograph me with them.

Mural work
Patterns
Hello there!
I have been artsy since I can remember and I have so much passion for what I do! I attended and graduated from The Kansas City Art Institute as an illustration major where I learned the in's and out's of my trade and received my BA. I also was involved with mentorships with Hallmark, Jill McDonald Designs, and have worked with a handful of creative people and companies within my field over the years. I consume most of my time with being creative and I try to involve myself in a lot of new experiences and projects as a freelance illustrator. I have worked with Children's illustrations and product, I've created numerous murals around the United States, I worked as a freelance product design at Demdaco, and have dabbled in graphic design/photography as well. I love patterns, texture, and typography and I love creating a mood or story within my work. I want people to see that my work goes further than what you see on the surface. It's so good to meet you!
